You can tell the bond between Valerie and Thomas is special from the very first time you meet them; we certainly did.
They met at another wedding, coincidentally organised by Memories in Greece as well. It was love at first sight, the relationship developed fast and strong, and barely a year passed from that wedding for Thomas to propose.
Never one to waste time, Valerie got our details from the other couple and she got on the phone to us right away. After a few Skype calls, we arranged to all travel and meet in Athens, to explore together, first-hand, their shortlisted locations for their upcoming wedding in Greece.
It turned out to be a great move, as we got to know the couple better and thus were able to suggest ideas that were ever more tailored to their needs and style. The winning location was Pelion, a uniquely beautiful spot in central Greece. Pelion combines some gorgeous beaches with amazing mountainous views and nature within a few minutes’ drive. Truth be told, although getting in touch with us was Valerie’s idea. Thomas was the one who pushed the envelope even further. He suggested we combine two events into one, by including the pre-wedding celebrations in the package and thus turning the event into an unforgettable Greek wedding weekend.
With that kind of energy, it’s hard not to be inspired.
We organised the flights and the transits for the couple’s guests, creating four difference options to cover all the different arrival times. We also booked the two venues, negotiating the best possible deal for the catering and decoration. And in the end, we came up with a great plan for both days, worked down to the smallest details. It might sound a bit over the top, but by the end of that Greek wedding weekend, we felt like we enjoyed it as much as the newlyweds and their guests.
That, along with some great feedback from a very happy couple with a “Just Married” sign on the back of their car, was for us our true reward.
